Karina Czernek
Graduated from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Pedagogy and Art in Cieszyn. She received her diploma with honors in the painting studio of Prof. Jerzy Wronski in 1998. In 2018, she received a doctorate in fine arts from Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. She is the author of 25 solo exhibitions and has participated in 29 group exhibitions, including four times qualifying for the "Bielska Jesień" Painting Biennale at the BWA Bielska Gallery in Bielsko-Biała (2005, 2011, 2017, 2021), three times to the "Triennial of Small Painting Forms" at the Wozownia Art Gallery in Toruń (2016, 2019, 2022), to the IV Triennial of Painting "ANIMALIS" at the MM Municipal Art Gallery in Chorzow (2017) and to the International Biennial of Painting "Quadro Art" in Lodz (2018), where she received an honorable mention. At the National Art Biennale - 45th Winter Salon, Radom 2018, she received the second prize - the Prize of the President of the City of Radom. She is the winner of the Bielska BWA Gallery Director's Award during the 3rd Bielska Visual Arts Festival 2014, which was an invitation to a solo exhibition at the Bielska BWA Gallery. In 2015, she received a scholarship from the City of Bielsko-Biała in the field of culture and art.
