Antek Wajda, Last Supper II, drawing on board, 20x41.5 cm, 2022
Antek Wajda. Born in 1976 in Wroclaw, Poland. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. An artist originating from the alternative scene, whose work is classified as trash art activities, known for his biting caricatures and a series of kitschy fur collages, ridiculously commenting on the mental matrices of modernity. In his hoary prose debut "Banbury. Events on the brig" he perversely described the lives of Poles leaving for work on the "Islands". Creator of illustrations for the fairy tale "Nochal Czarodziej" written by Agnieszka Wolny-Hamkało, the comic book "Candy Horses" of his own authorship, and illustrations for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 calendar published by the Tymoteusz Karpowicz Foundation for Culture and Education. Author of dozens of solo exhibitions and participant in numerous group exhibitions.
